Tractor Help

Just purchased a Farmall Ser#73573...The Axle sticks out past the rear tires aprox 2 feet each side. Hasn't ran in 2 years, gas tank has been cleaned along with the carberator..It is still a 6 volt system,,I will purchase a new 6 volt battery and try to get her started,,anything else I need to do before trying to get her started for the first time? The engine turns freely with the hand crank,,Much advise is requested,,,Thanks And Semper Fi,,,,,Albert
