Allan, There's nothing wrong with trying to run the H's one-way hydraulics through a two-way valve. Two-way valves (i.e. the christmas tree valves) have been an option on the letter series Farmalls from almost the beginning. In fact, that's how hydraulics work on any tractor... One-way fluid is redirected through a two-way valve to make two-way hydraulics. The REAL problem is in trying to operate a one-way cylinder through a two-way valve, for the reasons you stated. In this case, the pressure is probably bleeding by a worn spool, causing the loader to go up sometimes. I just wanted to make a correction because what you said is kind of misleading, and would cause some people to think that you can't have two-way hydraulics on a letter series tractor.
