TA - Low is out

I am looking at buying a 460...just to move some snow with but the TA is out ....It works in high but not low...I know it is very common for the low to be out but my concern will the high go out.....I have had different people tell me you will always have the high it is locked in....Just trying to make a good decision on whether to take a chance on it or not...Just going to use the tractor and loader to move a little snow in the winter.....I have been told it cost about $1000 to get it fixed if it all goes out............Tom Lee - Roslyn, SD
