My future plans are to split my 300u and it has a loader. The clutch is jumpy in reverse and this site tells me it needs to be split. My thoughts are splitting can be dangerous, but only if not careful. My questions are: 1. How far apart do the two halves need to be split apart? 2. If my hyd hoses are long enough, can it be done without first totally removing the loader. 3. When split, which half should one roll away from the other half, the front or rear? 4. It is a wide front, maybe they all were! To stabalize the front, I am thinking of making oak wood wedges to drive between the front axel and the bolster. It that all I need? Thanks for any advise.
