Hey K.B. ... did you see the oil analysis I posted on my 826 back on Nov 9? I was amazed that nobody commented! Anyway, it was an amazingly good result for an engine with so many hours. It would have been a good report for an engine with 2000 hours! I mainly wanted to double check if I was getting any signs of coolant in the oil and that was clear. No coolant and no fuel in the oil. Your original advice to avoid the extended idling and to keep that baby working really pays off in that area. My oil consumption has also gone way down, I suspect because I never let it slobber and the oil never gets diluted by diesel. I had a trouble free season this year, and if I have another next year, I'll treat the old beast to a little sheet metal replacement.
