Hi I picked up a Farmall C with a 2 row mounted planter on it this weekend. Im a JD guy but a farmall H was my first tractor at 12 so I have a soft spot for them. Im familar with the H/M tractors but this is my first time around a C so I will have questions to come but I have a few basic ones now. I bought it not running but it has a new battery and turns over good but there is no coil on it so Im hoping that with a coil tune up and gas It will run. wish me luck. Anyways with the questions...How common are the planters? Do they work good? What drives the planter? Spun the planter wheels but it wouldnt run the plates, does the planter have to be down and the pressure from being on the ground let it engage? Or are there supposed to be a drive off the axle or something? What are the values of farmall c with a mounted planter? It is straight original still 6 volt good tin tires rims. Thanks for any help. Matt
