GET THE CONTINUITY TESTER OUT OF THE HIGH-TENSION TOWER! If you DO get spark, the continuty tester will be "toast".

Using a 12-Volt test light on the PRIMARY coil terminal connected to the distributor, what does the light do while you crank the engine with the starter, key "ON"?
