My 1086 with 2800 hrs. sounds just like your 986. I have the same oil pressure readings, although I don't have any clatter after startup. It does have a little hyraulic "whine" for the first few seconds after you let the clutch out after starting. I also need a cab kit and the AC converted over to 134A. I would buy it, plus you know the original owner and if you can't trust your dad, who can you trust??
