It connects to the water outlet just below the top radiator hose on the right side. I don’t remember were the gauge attached to cuzz I installed a automotive gauge and ran it back to were the dash bolts to the transmission. Best I remember the sensing tube wuz short maybe less than 12” and the original gauge mounted sumwere around the governor. I wuz to cheap to buy a original type gauge. Now I did install a thermostat from the dealer and did not like the way it fit into the housening. My coolant temp runs to low and I know its cuzz the thermostat has moved and lets water flow by it. One of those thangs I need to werk on like lube’in the distributor, one day I will git around to it.
