The water temp gauge was attached to the governor assembly on the right side of the tractor by way of a bracket (now available from OEM tractor parts for $10) and the sensor cable was fed into the top of the water pump and hose that feeds into the radiator, much as what Hobo described. The only gauges located at the dash is the ammeter and the optional hydra touch temp gauge mounted on the forward part of the touch control levers.
