Since you have good fuel flow from the tank, you can pretty much eliminate vapor lock as I understand vapor lock: It happens in the tank, when the tank can't get air.

I would start at the carburetor. If you haven't given it a good cleaning and a rebuild lately, do it. If you have, take it apart, clean it again, and triple-check your adjustments.

New rubber-tip needles need to be "set" in their seat so they don't stick. You put the needle in the seat and give it a couple of taps with a hammer. Now the needle will be stuck, so use a small flat screwdriver to wiggle it free.
