My friend has a 1066 Turbo that we use daily to feed 200 head of dairy cattle with a TMR feed mixer. This past summer (late) he had a hydro pump failure that runs the dual hydro outlets on the back. After two new pumps (long story), the second pump worked but has a bad howl to it especially at 540 PTO rpm's. He did bleed it off when installed and it is a new pump. The mixer runs fine off the hyros and to my knowledge, it isn't putting too much or any shavings into the fluid (hopefully the filters are catching most). Filters are changed regularly to hopefully prevent a problem. I figure that the pump has its clearances too tight from the factory? I know this has to be ruining the pump and who knows what else but the cows have to be fed so down time hasn't been available. One, what could be the problem? Two, would another new pump help or something else? Three, how much damage to other parts could this be causing? I'm a Deere convert so my knowledge of 1066s is low but she's a power house and I hate to see it eat itself alive with this problem. Thanks for any help!!!
