when converting from the factory 6v pos ground to 12v neg ground, how does one addres the polarity of the starter? I know permenant magnet motors are polarity sensitive (reverse polarity reverses motor direction. The startes are not permenant magnet motors, so do they rotate the same way regardless of the polarity? This summer I'm going to do a conversion. maybe sooner, when I get the time and ambition to fab up a mounting bracket. Also, I'd like to add a smaller pulley to increase rev to the alternator. Not sure how to go about doing it as the serpentine pulley on this alternator has no keyway and itsnt tapered, its just held on like a washer would be when tightened by a nut. I'll figure something out I suppose.
