Hydraulic fluid level and maintenance for 140

Hello, Folks. Me again. I have changed all fluids in my 140, but have not checked or changed the hydraulic fluid. I have a 5-foot 1-point hook-up quick connect disk that I used today. My hydraulics seemed to struggle a little when lifting this, although it is heavy(makes tractor a little light on the front end). How often should this fluid be changed? I was told that I am supposed to let all implement arms down as low as possible to drain and re-fill, but how about simply adding some, if needed? Any methods to follow? Thanks for any advice(again).....Tab
