Reguardless of how switch is operated the same starting switch was used for M and stage one SM by IH. There were more than one part # sold but they interchange. Stage 1 SM LP tractors did use a different switch. Think IH started the foot lever to operate starting switch when hydraulic seat attachments showed up. If your tractor uses 3 bolts to mount starter its a stage 2 SM or diesel or the clutch housing is changed. On this site switch # 1925781 as pictured mounts direct to starter like stage 2 SM and some other models.
