I have an IH F806 with a worn out c301 engine.Sence the tractor stays at farm #2 and is used for loader duties, making hay on this farm. With the addition of the pole barn that has electricity now.I can now plug a diesel in during the winter for sure starting.Thats the reason I purchased the gas tractor 29 years ago. None of the barns had electricity to them. The tractor has served me very well.I love this tractor and I want to keep it.I have found an IH salvage yard that has a D407 and D414 both rebuilt with warranty.Im almost 99% sure that D407 will fit with no problems. But will the D414 fit in there too?Or am I wrong and neither one of them will work.Does anyone know for sure,or have installed one of these engines in an 06 series? I thank you for your help and advise.I know that I havent posted in quite a while. But thats a differant posting. John
