Need Advice Super A

Awhile back I installed a topper on
the exhaust on my Super A. I have
noticed since then the tractor seemed
to smoke more than before. The tractor
is parked outside under a big tarp.
The other day I noticed black around
the top on the topper. Checking with
my fingers it seemed to be oil like
substance, and no matter how much you
tried rubbing it off. And it only came
off with soap and water. Does my Super
A need a motor job?? or just a few
parts? I'm in the process of restoring
it, but had to stop beccause of the
cold weather. Need your advice and if
possible and idea on how much it would
cost me. Appreciate your help... Thanks, Mike
