The slip clutch is rusted stuck & no shear pin problem. I have nothing to go on as far as the blades are concerned. They were on it when I got it and are simple sharpened flat piece of steel. Sharpened on both edges, probably intended to be flipped over so could go longer without re-sharpening or so could use on either ccw or cw spindle or both. I think I know what you mean in that I have seen blades with some angle or curve to them. In what I've been trying to cut this week, I don't expect that 'lift' is a problem. 2 to 4 foot Goat weed with stems nearly as big as a pencil. Mostly knocking the smaller branches & leaves off & leaving a lot of stem with some leaves & small branches behind. Running wide open in 1st gear. Compared to my 8N & 5 foot, I think it ought to cut better even in 2nd or 3rd.
