I am by no means an expert... but my 444 needed the valves adjusted. Made all kinds of noise when it ran, and I was worried that it was going to be something big. Pulled off the valve cover and found 2 valves way out of spec. Checked and adjusted them all, and now she purrs like a kitten. Can't remember where I read it, but either my IH manual or the IT manual said to check and adjust the valves after XX hours during break in, which is what you are doing now.
