I want to thank all of you for sending along the infoo I used to wire up my A. Now, heres the problem---
Wired up generator to VR and installed battery pos ground, starts well but generator is not chargeing as best I can tell. The VR is new and marked 6V pos grnd. However the terminals are not where they are on other regulators. The single terminal on one side is marked GEN on the other side are L Batt F.. The regulator is well grounded and I polarized the gen as I have read many times. The battery was fully charged when we started today Would that have any effect on whether the ammeter show anything or not or whether or nor it is cHarging and if so ow far down must the battery get to show charge? Had generator tested and it motored fine n so suggestions pleasse.
