Absolutely There are nice fittings with 5/16" OD flair, or compression at good hardware stores (even home depot) with a 1/4 turn valve. Very much needed. If you have no sediment bowl, there is good reason to put a gravity style fuel filter in the line as well. It cannot be one of those regular inline filters, it needs to be specific for gravity feed which is at much lower pressure and will not flow through a regular filter well at all. If junk from the tank gets into the needle and seat, it will prop it open and flood the tractor every time. Good luck, JimN
