If you can lock one of the side bevel gears to the inside of the differential cage, that will work. If you had four spring loaded pins riding on a yoke or collar, the collar could be moved laterally to force the pins into the bevel gear. The bevel gear is splined to the bull pinion shaft. It would have to be drilled as well as the differential cage half. On a 560, you could use the blocked off shifter opening for the linkage outlet. I'm surprised someone hasn't already done the engineering and production.
Another solution would be the bull gears themselves. Fasten a large male spline to both gears and let a female spline rest on one and slide over to the other. Internal and external gears would work as well. Lots of torque back there so it has to be beefy.
