Disc it several times before plowing, with the disc set almost straight. Disc both directions of the field. This will slice up the sod and it will break up easier when plowing. Have you used that plow before? If not you'll need to expirement a little to get it to plow right. How big is this plow? Heaver sod may require a sod buster plow, 20" or so. You should be able to pull that if your SC is in good shape but you will need 1st gear for that. You may be able to borrow one from an OLD farmer in the area. Yes it will get progressivly easier each time you work that field (at least twice a year) Dave.
