Ok maybe jumped the gun a little, had it running, think I flooded it, let it sit while I went to town to replenish my diesel supply. Took off the inline filter and drilled it out to allow better fuel flow, tried to restart it and it chugged for about 5 seconds then quit, took out #1 plug and used a torch to dry it, put it back in and it chugged for another 5 seconds, guess now I need to take everything I knew about the choke on this thing and play around with it until I figure out how to not kill it. Also need to find out if my Case-IH dealer can get me a carb kit rather than ordering one from my neighbours to the south. Will go back out in the AM and try again, this time going really really easy on the choke. Just to clarify since I know a few different models used the same carb as mine and I just picked up 2 carbs from Rock Valley in Iowa not exactly sure they came off a 450 or not is it possible that the choke linkage is reversed on this one? Probably a really stupid question but still worth asking since I am at a whole new square one now.
