I have a Rowse double nine mower with 1100 mowers on it and have had trouble cracking the top cast part of the mower where the lift shaft is mounted to, starts to crack right by the elevated part and eventually spreads across the entire piece. I have hydraulic lift and have limiters on so it lifts slow, maybe just rough ground? Need to know what is the best way to weld it when its starts cracking: brazing or # of rod for the arc welder. I usually just buy used ones from the junk yard but after a few months seems like they all start to crack, used ones are 250 and i heard a new one close to $700, thanks for any replies.
