Need to put a new steering wheel on my Farmall 450. Removed the nut and expected to clearly see how the steering wheel slipped over the splined shaft. To my surprise I couldn't see any sign of how it came off. Tried hitting it a bit on the backside of wheel to break it loose but didn't help. Sprayed everything good with WD40 and plan to head back tonight to try to get it off again.
What am I missing???
Also, for those who tried to help me figure out why tractor wouldn't start, I didn't have much luck yet. Seemed to be a little condensation inside distributor cap and a bit of corrosion on wires. Wiped out cap good to dry off, cleaned of little bit of corrosion on wires, cleaned points, put on new condenser and rotor. Spark plug wrench I had would not fit plugs so couldn't check them. Tractor cam real close to starting but couldn't quite make it. After a few tries I think I may have flooded engine cause I saw gas dripping from hose connection where air intake connects to carb. That confused me and I had no way to pull plugs so I stopped. Been told I need a 7/8 socket for plugs so I'll try again tonight. I'm new and grouping in the dark but getting an education as I go. Thanks in advance for any help.

No. I am just happy to have their friendship. At least the word "farmer" is in my title. But what is the attraction? How can I explain the sensation and exhilaration I feel when I turn the key and hear the engine come to life (most
