thanks for all the replies, electrical system is clean with good spark and good wires(real wire not autowires)and carb is getting gas to the engine as it will load up with fuel if you open the main jet. but we took the governor cover off and noticed the idle stop screw is not on the stop on low throttle and wont adjust any further, I dont know if the carb was ever changed on this tractor, but shouldnt the throttle butterfly completely close?? it is hanging open, is the carb / gov not synchronized ?? the manual says to adjust at high idle but what about low speed?
