In the meantime, look at it this way: The more you have to do to it, (ignition tune-up, rewire, carb rebuild, etc.) the closer you are learning to validate your title as a (ah-hem) "tractor guru"! Nothing wrong with that. That is the way we all learn. I know just enough to be dangerous. There are several great guys here on this forum who know a lot more than me and several who know a lot less - and there are a few who think they know a lot but don't. Point is, you learn by doing.
