arnett: City Boy and George are the only two that have it right. Farmall A had a 4 digit serial number, but it was not on the clutch housing, nor did it have hydraulics, nor did it have a rockford clutch, besides it probably happened in 1939.
Super A all had 6 digit serial numbers and only the last 1,957 had it on the clutch housing.
So your tractor is either a 100, 130 or 140. With serial number 1451 a 100 would have code Z, 130 would have code C and 140 would have code D Another clue would be engine block part number 100 is 354898 R2 or R3, 130 is 366204 R1 and 140 is 367825 R1.
