sgt, Im pretty well agreeing with my friends, Ima thinkin the genny is getting weak and/or your battery is showing its age EITHER of which can cause this. Once the genny has a good ground and a tight belt and you dead ground its FLD post THATS ALL SHE HAS INTO THAT BATTERY.
You may wanna run a direct ground wire from the battery post down to the genny n see what happens!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If the battery is okay???????? and the grounds n wiring are all good n the field is dead grounded n shes still a weak charger........youre left with a genny problem and/or you may get a lil more charge if its an adjustable 3 brush genny, try that next..............
As far as the genny its brushes may be worn or the commutator is all carboned n oiled over or the brush hold downs are weak or stuck
