Bruce: Thank you for this information. I don't know if you noticed, however Steven started another thread on Tractor Talk page, and there is a guy over there came up with the same information.
Earlier in the evening I had typed in on google Ray Bock Foundry. I found that the Bock family had and still do have foundries. I also found info on several family members including a Kenneth Ray Bock Sr. associated with the foundry business. He had a son Kenneth Ray Bock Jr., however no mention of what business ventures he may have been involved in during his lifetime. He was however born in the mid 1930s, making him about the right age to have established a farm equipment business in the 1950s. This gear box was obviously done quite professionally in a foundry, and if he is the same Ray Bock this would explain his access to those foundries.
