CNKS: I have seen 3 of them, not sure how much money it would have taken to buy one of them. All I got was not for sale.
Read my post to Old Bob down the page. Folks are out there trying to create Super A1, much the same as SMTA from 400 or SHTA from 300. They think the SA is an easy one, as they don't have to deal with IPTO. Super A has it's own sequence of engine serial numbers ending at 357449. The Super A1 used engines from the Super C sequence starting with engine serial number 206628.
In July of 1954, Super A 355639 used engine 357449; Super C 195652 used engine 204642; and the first Super A1 356001 used engine 206628. Then you go on to 100, I100 and 200 which each started a new sequence of tractor serial numbers each beginning at 501. The engines started a new sequence common to all three. 100-501 got engine 572, 200-501 got engine 663 and I100-501 got engine 976. As you can see, creating a fool proof Super A1 from either a SA or a 100, is not quite as easy as it might seem.
By the way most of my numbers on offsets came from before the days of YT and most of those books. My most recent info tieing what engine went into first and last tractor of a production run came to me from Jim Becker.
