I have a set of .002" bearings that we tried to put in a '54 SMTA. The old ones were marked .002" so just replaced them. For what ever reason they tightened up too much on the outer edges of the new bearings and the crank was too tight to turn over. So, we pulled the crankshaft out, took it to the local machine shop and had it reground. Now with 010" undersise bearings it turns freely. Make an offer if you are in need of some .002" bearings.
