Michael, IFFFFF youre at POSITIVE GROUND,,,,, The coils - terminal is what receives voltage from an Ignition switch when ON,,,,,,,,its other lil + terminal which normally wires to the distributor and its points now wires to the elec ignition terminal which now serves as the On/Off coil current switch and replaces the points opening n closing switch action. The e modules other terminal wires EITHER to the coils - or the ignition switches output which is hot when ON (thats the same point electrically speaking)
If you had a mag kill switch which served simply as a to ground connection to kill the mags spark thats NOT the same as an On/Off Ignition switch. It has a BAT input terminal (often fed from ammeters load terminal) and its IGN output terminal is what feeds hot batetry voltage to the coils - when its turned ON.
If you have a simple isolated two pole On/Off mag switch and neither pole is somehow grounded to the dash or the switches case or mounting etc it could be used as a two pole On/Off ignition switch with the BAT input wired to a hot voltage source (like the ammeteres load terminal) and the other IGN output wired down to teh coils - terminal so kts hot when ON
ITS BEST IF YOU STAY AT POS GROUND 6 VOLTS TO USE THE VENDORS WIRING DIAGRAM N NOT LISTEN TO ANY OF US HERE LOL
Be sure n use a e switch for POs ground if you keep the tractor at Pos grnd IF YOU WIRE IT WRONG YOUMAY LET THE SMOKE OUT
