Got the gas tank clean, painted and installed a new sediment bowl assembly and gave it a whirl. Same old story so I loosened the verticle distributor, retarded it a smidge and tried it again. It actually ran for a few seconds and died. Two more tries, same thing so I loosened the distributor again and gave it a smidge more. In my haste I forgot to tighten the distrubutor down and when I hit the starter I saw the distributor rise up a little and evidently it's way out now. Picked up my tools and went to the house, thinking of sending myself to bed without supper!
