Mkirsh, I have seen this topic here countless times and I guess it will never be settled as long as there are still two H's left. I put a live pump on my 41 H about 1968, did not change any gears or cover, two bolt holes match, drilled and threaded a third hole and made a simple clamp for the fourth. It has run hyd. motors, a Dacon reel type rock picker, a 2001 loader along with many other jobs, totaling several hundred hours each year since. I used the transmission as a resivoir. I have done absolutely no repairs to it in all those years. So I guess I am here to say it foolish to change the cover or gear. Chuck
