We go through this everytime some one says food or fuel!!!! How much corn did you eat today, this week, this month ?? The distillers mash is still LIVESTOCK feed just as the corn was. None complained when we made high fructose corn syrup to replace sugar cane. Noone is concerned about the grain (rye wheat, barley, corn) that is used for drinking whiskey!!! How about potatoes ( human food) that are used to make vodka? As far as I know there are 4 kinds of corn; Pop, Food grade White, Sweet, and Yellow dent(livestock/ethanol!!!
