I agree.It wouldnt hurt anybody expressing an opinion to read up on it.Ethanol is not being made out of switchgrass yet.What does grass do in marginal soil?The root system holds the soil from erosion.What does switchgrass do,holds soil from erosion.Thats why its being promoted for Ethanol because its good to hold soil from erosion,and can be planted on marginal ground,therefore creating more revenue for a farmer,who can now grow corn,beans on his good ground,and switchgrass on his marginal ground for Ethanol.Switchgrass may even do better if mixed with something else like corstalks or cobs or even wood.It may need to be mixed with something else,but maybe they have figured out how to make Ethanol without mixing it now.Some people have to be either repeating a oil company opinion,or being fed propaganda to hide the truth.If you are going to drive anything in the future,it will burn some Ethanol.If oil companies continue to jack up prices,you will burn lots more ethanol instead of less,electricity too.Also,there is not a shortage of oil right now.They have found billions of barrels of oil off the coast of Brazil,and other places,and it should be at our American refineries by 2010.Besides billions of barrels they found in the Gulf of Mexico.Besides that we have lots of coal.With the price of a barrel of oil now,I dont see why they cant make some Diesel out of coal,the Germans did it in WW2,and I bet they could,but wont.The reason is they have bunches of oil,and lots of money.If they were smaller,hungry companies,they would be glad to refine oil.Now they want to control oil.The oil companies arent the only problem here,its speculaters.They are responsible for 60% of the price of oil.They are from our own country,and our "Government"wont do anything about them because they are paid off.Plus they lie all the time so nobody will find out very fast while they are stealing money from us.

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
