More oil on the outside than the inside,Super C

I have developed an oil leak in what at first I thought was my oil pan. After a new gasket and closer inspection I found the oil is comeing from behind the small cover on the clutch housing just behind the oil pan.What do you think is the most likely sourse of this leak and what pleasures am I in for fixing it? With the cover off and the motor running I can see a pretty steady stream coming from the dark mysterious area where the clutch lives. Please help
