I'm working on my wife's grandfathers 300u. i gave it the tune-up that i think it never had. i also had the starter and alternator rebuilt. it runs better now but I'm taking it further.
I purchased new gauges and i want to redo all the wiring because its basically a mess.
little history:
he purchased the tractor used and used it on the farm heavy until he retired. it was switched over to an alternator prior to him owning it. he claimed that it killed the battery if it wasn't disconnected all the time and it started hard all the time.
so what i'm asking, is can i use farmallbobs 12 volt diagrams with the 6 volt system that i'm running.
also i'm having problems with it still starting hard, even after the tune-up and rebuilt starter.
And after i got the rebuilt alternator installed it doesn't like to shut off with the key
