John: A 100 should have block number 354898 R2. 354898 R1 indicates it came from a Super A or Super C. FCM settles that, it is SC engine. 116866, still on machined flat surface would indicate early SC engine, and W makes sense as the year code would be 1951. Super C engine will work just fine.
As for the rest of the tractor, is the tractor serial tag still on left side of clutch housing? If so, what does it say? If not, start looking at date codes and part numbers on hydraulic unit, torque tube, transmission, etc. Come back with some of those. We can solve this.
