I have a 1976 1066 International. I have all the manuals that go with it. i have looked through them but still not sure where to start to tear in to this thing.
The problem. I bought this tractor and it ran and steered fine. It sat for a week. I lost ALL steering. The steering wheel would just turn and no response from wheels at all. I talked to someone else and they said to go forward and reverse and man handle the steering wheel and see if it would finally starting steering. i did this for about 5 minutes after it got good and hot and it finally started steering great. next day steering fine and next day steering fine. then i let it sit for a week and NO steering again at ALL. ( I have changed hydraulic fluid and filter as well)
So I am not sure where to start to fix this. I have looked at the master control vavle that connects to the steering wheel under the dash but I am not sure if that is where I need to start or not.
Sorry to be so long. Just want to give you all the facts so you can guide me in the right direction.
