I am currently restoring a 1946 Farmall H and am having trouble with the carb leaking. I have soaked it in carb bendix and installed a repair kit which consisted of all new shafts, idle and load adj. screws and gaskets and such. The float was in exccelent condition and was tested in a glass of water for leaks. The carb bowl was checked for cracks and none were found. It runs great and does not leak when running. It seams as though it is being siphoned through the load jet after shutting the engine off and then leaking through the drain hole on the bottom of the carb. The float as far as I know is adjusted correctly. Thanks in advance anyone that can shed some light on my dilema.
