I agree with all comments. I work my "H" hard and have been using an Esso SAE 40 weight oil known as HD. This is because my engine has never been overhauled since non detergent oil became unavailable which I ran into in 1996. Can't get it any more and I thought the shift to full detergent oil to be risky. Any way, I'm getting along fine. I do know a 40 weight oil makes them hard to turn over when cold especially with a 6 volt system. It's not a problem if you don't run them much in the winter, and I don't. .
