Farmall H low oil pressure problem

I posted a question about an old Farmall H that I am restoring yesterday and I thank all who responded. I do have another question though. I have a problem with low oil pressure after the engine warms up. I am looking at the oil pump now but I had a friend tell me that if the main bearings were bad that they would also cause low oil pressure and that if I already had the pan off that I should go ahead and replace the rod and main bearings. Should I go ahead and do this? The engine does run great even with the low oil pressure and has no noise. I don't know the history of this tractor and I'm not a professional mechanic, I could use some more advise from all you great Farmall fans!!
