The 1066 I just bought whines when the tractor is moving. If you start out at idle, is is more of a growl and when you speed it up it quiets down to just a whine. I want to say that it is a little quieter in either high, low, or reverse but I don't remember which.
What problems could this be pointing to or is this normal for a tractor this old with those gears.
The TA had recently been replaced but I am not aware of any other transmission work that has been done.
Is there anything transmission wise that you can do without splitting the tractor apart or is every repair a major one?
