Have little experience with Farmalls - only had a cub back on the farm - but would like a SMTA or a 400 just for the heck of it. I see here many references to TA on older Farmalls. Have located a 400, well used but straight. Need your help: 1) how to test the TA to tell if working properly, or barely working, or definately out. 2) if it is out, does it make the problem any worse to use the tractor until I get around to fixing it?
