Thanks to all who have helped me lately.I have a 6V DR gen & VR from a 1948 CHevy on my W9. I got the gen working ,only with the F grounded. I have assured that the wires from G to VR are ok and that both the G & VR case are grounded. I can get a new VR for $50.00. I made up my mind before I spent that kind of money I would convert to 12V. MY question now is there any way I could fix or get my VR to work. WHen I grd the F the contact on the F terninal of the VR closes and she charges ok. I assume that the contact on the A terminal must be closed and that the CO terminal is closed allowing the current to flow back to the battery. ANy help would be appricated. Thank you.
