I checked my oil in my New to me Farmall M and its oil was a color I've never seen before.
It is a tan/light brown color, it feels like oil and I've had it sitting in a jar for about an hour and it is not separating.
I just cleaned the oil bath filter and it looked like it had been a long time since it had been cleaned and was completely full of mud dobber nests (damn near clogged up) and the oil is the same color as the their mud nests. Could this be from that? I'm going to change the oil and see. The coolant isnt low and it is a clean tractor. It is also a propane tractor so that would be why the oil isnt black... Let me know what you veterans think!
Thanks
