Sorry about the confusing statement. What I trying to say,if there are separate 3 shift rails(R-1,2-3,4-5) and each has its own fork and all the rear shifting gears are difficult to engage it looks like the common problem could be in the shifter.
I did not think to inspect the shifter pivot pin but that would make sense if was worn or bent.That will be the next thing we check.
Still wondering what the tip dimensions should be so I can tell if the shifter tip in need of rebuilding.
